About the Author

Peter Enueshike, PhD

Dr. Peter Enueshike is a finance scholar, professional accountant, public-sector financial expert, and author whose work reflects a strong interest in institutions, governance, resources, and economic development.

He holds a PhD in Finance and is a Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (FCNA), the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Nigeria (FCPA), and the Certified Institute of Business Entrepreneurs, USA (FCIBE). With more than two decades of professional experience, he has held senior financial management roles in government institutions and diplomatic settings.

His academic and professional background has shaped his interest in how institutions, resources, and public policy affect communities and society.

In Land, Identity and Bloodshed, Dr. Enueshike brings that perspective to one of Nigeria’s most complex challenges: communal conflict linked to land, identity, governance, and competing claims to belonging.

Rather than examining conflict solely through the lens of violence, he considers the historical and structural conditions that allow disputes to escalate, as well as the institutional and community-based approaches that can help prevent them.

His work ultimately focuses on a practical question: How can communities move beyond cycles of conflict toward justice, reconciliation, and sustainable peace?
